Suggest Treatment For Hearing Loss And Ringing In Ears
Yesterday i went shooting and used ear protection, but not well enough. My right ear started ringing for about twenty minutes, and had some hearing loss. I thought it might go away, but I still have some hearing loss 30 hours later. Additionally, when I yawn I hear a crumpled paper sound. We checked my ear and I have no wax that could be causing this. Did I damage somehthing?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of hearing loss and ringing in ears which seems to be due to eustachian tube dysfunction due to high pitched noise.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may examine ear with otoscope and order hearing test along with other examination like CT scan. Doctor my prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medications. Avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. You should apply dry warm compresses to external ear. You should go for hearing device if doctor recommends if loss is of higher level.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
