Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that coronary stenoses when clinically significant, as it seems to be in your husband's case are treated as a rule with percutaneous angioplasty and eventual stenting (if technically feasible).

Another option is to leave coronary lesions intact and continue conservative therapy with drugs, but this latter strategy aims at its best to relieve disturbing symptoms, but doesn't offer stability of clinical status and warranty against possible life-threatening complications.

There isn't any cardiologists who could offer an alternative management strategy without taking first into consideration a revascularisation strategy (when available).

So, I would recommend to follow his doctor advice and undergo the next angioplasty procedure as it offers maximal beneficial effects for a better quality of life and life expectancy.

Hope to have been helpful! Greetings! Dr. Iliri
