Suggest Treatment For Heaviness In The Legs

Hi There! I have gone from a very active lifestyle recently to a very inactive after a loss of a nanny job. After I lost my job I contracted mono. I then recovered and a week ago I was sitting most of the day and got up and felt like there was a rubber band around my calf. I then went the rest of the week feeling like my leg was heavy as well as my right arm. A week later i feel the rubber band feeling again and now it is painful to walk and stand on. I feel totally fine otherwise except for feeling fatigued more than usual.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The heaviness in the legs can be part of underlying vascular compromise as developing thrombus or other occlusion disorder. It is best recommended to consult your doc and get checked for the peripheral pulsations of the lower limb and later on he or she may guide you regarding the need of Doppler ultrasound of the lower limb.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
