Suggest Treatment For Heavy And Continuous Menstrual Flow

Hi, I have been on contraceptives for the last 5 years. I started of with the 3 month injection. That caused me to bleed non stop for about 2 months. I went back to the clinic and they changed the injection to the 2 month injection. That did not help either as i continued to have my period for another month. They then put me on the pill called Ovral to stop the bleeding. It did help to stop the bleeding. I then saw my doctor and he gave me triphasil which i have been using for the last 4 years without any problems. When i went back to get my repeat 2 months ago, they told me that Triphasil was discontinued and gave me Trigestral. I have switch to this pill about 2 months ago. I am on my second pack and 2 weeks from my period / red pill. Last night i started getting contraction like cramps and when i went to the toilet after a while there were some blood - light pink and brownish. This morning the blood is heavy and very red and cloty. Does this means that this pill is not working for me. I also have a history of cists and endometriosis?

Hi,

Yes, all your symptoms are suggestive that the drug is not working. All your symptoms are suggestive of hormonal imbalance. So better to consult a gynecologist and get a clinical examination done and check hormone levels.

You will need specific hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
