Suggest Treatment For Heavy Bleeding Due To Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Hi, I am 45 yrs old and have a history of polycystic ovarian syndrome. I'm having prolonged heavy menses since the beginning of the year and it's giving me a lot of discomfort. I experience heavy sometimes watery and with blood clots in my menses. The flow becomes more severe even when coughing and sneezing and when I carry heavy objects.I've nausea and vomitting two days ago and I've seen a physician. He gave me some drugs to stop my bleeding temporarily and and nausea and vomitting and intestine.I don't understand why I'm experiencing headaches after I take the drugs. The physician advised me to go and see a gynaecologist and get a pap smear and ultrasound checks.Pls advise me whether I should stop taking the drugs and what other options are available for me at this stage.Tks.
I would suggest you to modify your lifestyle, reduce weight, exercise daily, get 30 mins sunlight, eat green leafy vegetables and fruits and drink plenty of water. As you are 45, you are perimenopausal so you can get your periods delayed by 3 months followed by heavy bleeding due to hormonal changes. Take tablet Tranexa for heavy bleeding.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
