Suggest Treatment For Heavy Hair Fall In A Child

Hi,can you please recommend treatment for my 10 year nephew who has chunks of falling hair on his scalp n eyebrows,leaving blots of scalp exposed.Doctors have recommended steroids as form of treatment,but I m worried.Your advice n help is much appreciated.Will a particular diet help in this case? It could be due to conditions like alipecia areata. Consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Steroids are the mainstay of the treatment.
