Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. Am 26, have 2 kids. I am struggling with my periods. Very painful and heavy bleeding since my teenage years. They concern me because they come anytime of the month. Tried different types of prevention but no luck. Now am on pills but no luck. Is it possible for me to block my tubes at this age because am not free at all and I don t want kids anymore?
Hello, Welcome to hcm, Blocking of tubes won't prevent bleeding. Menorrhagia may be because of various causes like fibroids, adenomyosis, hormonal changes etc..I advise you to to continue pills for few more months. If your symptoms doesn't subside then you can go for curretings. Considering your age I don't suggest hysterectomy.
Thank you
