Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Hi My name is Suchita.I am 34 years old and was suffering from heavy periods from last 6 years. My doctor has advised me to take Yulipriest tablet to treat fibroid.I took that medicine for three months and in these 3 months;i have not got my periods.I discussed this with my doctor and she said it can be a side effect of the medicine and there is nothing to worry. After 3 months i stopped taking that medicine but i did not get my periods for 14 days. Now i got a letter from my office and they have called me to dubai to attend a meeting on 28th of may.I got worried to know that if i will get my periods now then it will start exactly on 28th of may.So i wanted to change the cycle and for this i started taking primolut n on 25th of april because i wanted to change the cycle.Till now i am taking that pill.I will be in dubai from 28th of may to 6th of June.So if i will stop taking primolut n then i will get my periods around 10th or 11th.Then i feel i will get my periods in June around 8th.Is it fine or i should take that pill for 2-3 more days so i will be sure that i will not get my periods from 29th of may to 6th of June.Kindly guide.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As a first like management you can take drugs like Tranexemic acid to control bleeding. If bleeding persist better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
