Suggest Treatment For Heavy Nocturnal Enuresis In A Diabetic

today I went to my doctor, I have a 20 year history of diabeties and have just recently started heavy bedwetting and urgent leakage in getting to the bathroom. He suggested that I start wearing wearing some heavy protection along with some onesies to keep it in place.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A urinary infection has to be ruled out with a urinalysis and probably a urine culture. The blood sugar levels have to be in the normal range as well as high glucose levels may cause an increase in the urine volume and frequent and involuntary urination.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj,
General and Family Physician
