Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi - my 8 year old son has a hematoma on his finger. He s had it for 6 years and is being monitored twice a year. This was not caused by any trauma and surgery is not recommended because orthopedic MD states it would grow back. (it is more pronounced now due to sports play) Would there by any risks with flying? Looking to take a 2 hour flight for a family trip. Please advise. Thanks!
If he has it for the last 6 years, is being monitored and has not caused any subjective complaints, then I don't see any risk involved in flying. Just be careful to avoid any local injury.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
