Suggest Treatment For Hematuria When Allergic To CAT Scan Dye
I have hematuria ... No visual blood in urine. I have no symptoms, excercise and am a healthy 71 year old. I am allergic to cat scan dye. Doc protocol is cytology, cystology, and go to Hx to have a scoping because of no dye issue. They will not do one test, only all three. I want to monitor condition as I am phobic of procedures and feel I am healthy. She told me to return in six months and thinks something must be there and wants to do above work up . Could be this, or that etc. what do you think. I would do two tests before I subjected my self to hx scoping and am thinking of finding another place where the protocol is different.
If you experience any pain on your either side of abdomen or experience change in urine colour then only you need to go for evaluation. But considering your age keep an eye on prostate status.
