Dear Dr. My wife have TB since 6months Recently I did ct-scan like l.f.t and renal profile chest x ray. Reports: x-ray Calcified foci noted on the right upper lobe Scan : parametrial hyperamia Hemorrhagic left ovarian cyst What is the treatment for this.... ?
Hi there, I have gone through your query and my opinion is : 1) Generally, a haemorrhagic ovarian cyst does not require treatment if the size is less than 5 cm. 2) If the size is more than 5 cm, you have two options, one is to start 3 cycles of oral contraceptive pills and repeat scan after 3 months. 3) Other option is to get a diagnostic laparoscopy done and then a cystectomy, which means removal of only the cyst and not the entire ovary. 4) In any case, a simple haemorrhagic cyst generally does not cause any problem and is benign.
I hope I was able to provide some assistance to you int his case. Regards, Dr. Shikha S
