Hello there, 2.5 years ago I developed a hernia abiver my belly button. After being pregnant my hernia became worse. It brought me to the emergency room shortly after my sob was born and after a ct scan they told me it was just fat. Now today since 5am this morning i have had a very odd stomach cramping and then my normal back pain became increasingly worse, now after a busy day I went it lay down and my hernia is pulsating and tender on tcramping that cramping I ve had all day. Is it possible it could be an aortic abdominal hernia despite being told it was only fat?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Hernia from the navel area is termed as 'umbilical hernia'. It needs to be corrected by undertaking surgical procedure called 'hernioplasty' or 'herniorraphy'. You need to consult Surgeon promptly for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided helps. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
