I am 52years male March 2014 I suddenly developed numbness in right toe fingers Started to experience limp while putting foot down Can easily walk on heels mri scan revealed disc bulge and herniation in l4-l5 l5-s1 One year after doing yoga some relief. Major limp to slight limp

Between the vertebra are intervertebra discs. These discs can bulge and cause pressure on surrounding nerves.

The pressure or damage to these nerves can cause abnormal sensations in the areas in which they supply so it is quite possible that the numbness in related to the changes in your spine.

Treatment can vary, in some cases it may consist of physiotherapy and medication.
In some cases surgery may be needed.
