Suggest Treatment For Herpes Simplex On Finger In Children
My 2yr old daughter has recently been diagnosed with herpes simplex on her finger. We the rest of the family have never had anything like this at all. I am shattered yet confused as to how she could of caught this and I need some examples pls? Is this common? Do most people have this? Is this the same as a cold sore virus or worse? I read that it is rare to catch on a finger especially if no one has the virus in the family. Should I get another swab diagnosis?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The herpetic virus infection involving hand is not as common as other areas. This occurs when the fingers get contaminated by touch from the infected person or surfaces. It is same as cold sore. Nothing to be panic, it is self limiting condition. Consult a pediatrician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can apply topical antiviral drugs like acyclovir ointments. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
