Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had two intestine surgeries, first in Oct last year. This resulted in a hiatal hernia. I then had another intestine surgery in May of this year and told the doctor to repair the hernia. He didn t, to hear I am still with the hernia. I think I need to have surgery to correct this hernia, but I won t use the same doc.
Hello dear Understand your concern. Consult the surgeon and do test like barium meal and endoscopy for proper management of the hiatus hernia. First you should take following medicine 1. Proton pump inhibitor: rabeprazole 2. NSAIDS: Aspirin 3. Propranolol 4. If not responds: Laser surgery Phodynaemic surgery
Avoid large meal. Avoid oily, spicy and fatty food. Do not sleep after meal. Make angle of 45 degree while sleeping (Head rise position) Hope this may help you.
