I HAVE A LARGE SLIDING HIATEL HERNIA THAT CAUSES A LOT OF PAIN AFTER EATING I AM ON OMAPRAZOLE 20 MG BID BUT DOESNT HELP DURNING MEALTIMES, LOOKING FOR A SURGEON AT EITHER SOUTH COUNTY HOSPITAL OR KENT COUNTY HOSPITAL IN RHODE ISLAND TO GET IT REPAIRED

Hiatal hernia can be symptomatically treated with proton pumps inhibitors, prokinetic agents with diet and lifestyle changes.
If not improved, you may consult your surgical gastroentrologist.
He may do fundoplication surgery to prevent acid reflux and associated complications.
