Suggest Treatment For High BP And Diabetes

Experienced pulsation in vein or artery on left side of neck in the middle of the night. Both times this occurred after I had been asleep for about 4 hours and woke up to the pulsation in my neck. I have high blood pressure and am taking Losartan Potassium 100 mg one tablet daily. Also I am diabetic and taking Metformin 500 mg twice daily. Most recent A1c test result was 6.1.

Hi,

Use ACE inhibitors (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors) and ARBs (angiotensin II receptor blockers) first.
Although, other medications treat high blood pressure, these also prevent or slow kidney disease in people with diabetes. HbA1c is in the range.
