Suggest Treatment For High BP And Rectal Bleeding

My mom has a leaky heart valve and has high blood pressure. Yesterday her heart rate dropped into the 40 s and she passed out. She also was bleeding from the rectum. The doctors could not find anything wrong thru EKG or thru blood,urine,or stool samples but she passed out cold and has done this several times. What do you think is causing her to pass out and have a hard time breathing while she is passed out?

Thank you for concern of your mum
This is not uncommon with a heart rate of 40beat/min. This is bradycardia. This causes hypotension and thus causes low oxygen in the brain making somebody to pass out.
The blood in the stool is not conected with the bradycardia but with the drugs she may be taking to thin her blood due to the heart valve Manangement.
Check coagulation profile, This may be deranged due to drugs she is taking and this may cause rectal bleeding
Full haemogram- level of platelets
ECG for the heart rate and the and if there any irregullarity
Chest X ray. for any cardiomegally Dilated cardiomegally can cause bradycardia.
Colonoscopy. There may be an other abnormallity in the rectum or colon causing rectal bleeding

Treatment will depend on the out come of the tests
Need to consult cardiologist.
