Hi! I am trying to decide whether or not to go to the emergency room. I have stopped taking my cymbalta..day 4 of being off of it, and my blood pressure has been sky high. In fact it has been the last several times to the dr. but they say they don t treat you for it because they don t diagnose that when you are in pain. I have been extremely dizzy an feel almost out of my body when I stand up like I am going to pass out and my lips keep going numb. I have also been very nautious and had vomiting for the last few days. But I m not sure that they will even do anything for me at the emergency room. I m not sure if I should go now or just stay in bed. ???
It is possible for the blood pressure to rise due to pain. If it is significantly high, however, it is likely that there is some element of essential or underlying hypertension present that needs treatment.
You may need to see your doctor for reassessment of your blood pressure.
Nausea and vomiting may be due to different causes such as: side effect of medication, gastritis, food intolerance, infections (hepatitis, uti, appendicitis etc). If over the counter anti emetics (vomiting meds) and probiotics do not help your symptoms, your doctor may need to evaluate you for this as well.
I hope this helps
