Suggest Treatment For High BP When On Lovenox And Warfarin
My fiance was diagnosed with a DVT last week. We spent a few hours in the emergency room where they administered Lovenox and Warfarin and he has since been on a daily injection of Lovenox and a daily tablet of Warfarin. Tonight we went out with some friends and he had some wine. He began acting intoxicated fairly quickly and said he felt dizzy and sick. We came home and I put him to bed but took his blood pressure just before which was l05/77 and his pulse was @ 67. He typically has high blood pressure which he is being treated for. His temp was low at 96 degrees. Should I take him to the ER? Is he okay to sleep it off ?
Your fiancée's blood pressure and heart rate and temperature all are within normal limits. He doesn't need to be taken to the ER. Let him sleep. If the symptoms persist even tomorrow, then you may consult your physician. But for now he is quite normal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
