I have stage 3b colon cancer..been through chemo and radation..had temporary ostemy to allow healing..7 mo later I was able to be reversed..some length of large colon had to be removed..I have been on lomotil 4x day, trying to control bowel movements..then also began taking Viberzi..which immensely helped..sure to Medicare insurance Viberzi not covered..612.00 is not possible for me to pay..I was on their initiation program for 6 months..I m 63 yr old female..active as I can be..now without Viberzi I am back to multiple soft formed stools several times a day.with severe cramping and sometimes total evacuation of colon..in which I break into sweat all over my body, and when it s over I have to lay down for several hours to recouperate..I do not have high blood pressure, or another other conditions other than this..I m 3 yrs post teartment of chemo radation and surgeries..needing something stronger than lomotil to control this..I m 6 ft tall weight has stabilized at 185 and I had gotten very thin during treatment at 140. My insurance is Medicare anthem plan..I am on disability due to my bathroom conditions..
