I m taking 100 mg metoprolol succ ER, 25 mg metoprolol, 300mg tekturna, 20 mg furosemide 3 times a day. It is so slow coming down. I m 90 years old, 5 ft 1 in, 170 lbs. My husband 95 years old, had surgery in June for colon cancer, and I think from that time my pressure went up. Do you think there is something else to help me??? YYYY@YYYY

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Antihypertensives like amlodipine or telmisartan have to be started at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
