Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure

I recently had a wellness check and my blood pressure came back as alert status. It was 120/78 and my other numbers were all in healthy range with the exception of my BMI which should be 25 but is 30. My blood pressure came back in the unhealthy status. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Blood pressure in this range 120 - 78 mmhg is quite normal and you shouldn't be concerned either take any medications. A thing that you can be concerned about is your weight and BMI that is higher than normal. Consult a dietitian for a hypocaloric diet and continue to exercise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
