I am 60 turning 61 this summer. I am in pretty good shape. I eat well , work-out and have struggled with my cholesterol, now under control. Lately my blood sugar has been trending up. it is now at 110 fasting. I drink my coffee black with no sugar and avoid sugar most of the time. What can I do?
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Fasting of 110 mg/dl if just single reading is not significant. If it is second reading of 110 or more but less than 126 then it is impaired blood sugar level. All that you need is to repeat fasting blood sugar if it is still high but less than 126; then you have to do regular aerobic excersize thirty minute a day five times a week.
