Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Abdominal Pain

My mother had a jerky accident and for a month, her uterus was bleeding. She has grown very weak. She has low bp, 52 years old, allergic to sulphur group of drugs. Constantly she keeps complaining that she has very high fever. Her histopathology report of D&C test - scanty non secretory endometrium with crush artefacts. Report also says - negative for granulomas or malignancy. Another report says - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone 10.36 ulU/ml She has been constantly complaining of abdominal pain, recurring fever, pain in hand and legs. And some medicines prescribed to her by a gyanecologist had severe side effects. Her Pelvis and Abdomen USG report says that she has a bulky, irregular uterine and cervix. What is wrong with her? what treatment should she undergo?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It sounds like hypothyroidism. She should have her TSH and T3+T4 measured and undergo a clinical examination of her thyroid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
