Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Severe Dehydration In A Child
My four year old has an unexplained fever of 102.6. She isn't eating or drinking. Should I be concerned about dehydration? What do I look for? She hasn't wanted to drink anything for two days, is usually a bed wetter and has been dry three nights now. The fever started yesterday afternoon. YYYY@YYYY
Hi, i do care for your concern. Lethargic child refusing oral feeds is a matter of concern. I would advise To consult a pediatrician, to rule the causative agent for fever. To get blood test done and treated according to it. early intervention is needed and medications can provide excellent results. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thank you.
