Suggest Treatment For High Fever For My 20-year-old Son

My 20 year old son has had a high fever - 101.15-102...right now 99.1 for several days. He has no energy a very stiff neck (which possibly could be from just lying on the couch for 2 days) a sore throat (worse yesterday) and I am a bit concerned. Its s Saturday evening. A visit to the walk in is a possibility. His appetite is ok - ate scrambled eggs and toast for dinner. My concern is that this is one of my 5 children who has had high fevers as a kid. His siblings - not so much. Last year over Christmas break he ended up with pneumonia and really high fevers again. Just wondering what we should do?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it is very much obvious that underlying cause of the fever need to be known, and for that first is clinical examination and second routine blood and urine test till then for high fever antipyretic can be used and best is Acetaminophen 500 mg as per needed, with right diagnosis is proper treatment it will be alright just care need to be taken better to see the doctor hope this information helps.
