Suggest Treatment For High Fever

I have fever for last 3 days between 1o2 to 101. I am having 3 dose dolo 650 everyday. Fever reduces till the effect of medicine. After that it starts rising again. There are no other symptoms apart from fever. Local doctor said he cannot prescribe any antibiotic for this. Is it ok to continue to take dolo 650. I am 36 yrs old.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Dolo 650 contains Paracetamol, which acts as antipyretic - decreases fever when there is rise in temperature.
Since you are having high grade fever for 3 days, you need to get tested for the underlying cause, so that it could be treated accordingly. Kindly get the following tests done:
1. Widal test to rule out typhoid.
2. Blood for Malarial Parasites to rule out malaria.
3. Dengue serology Antigen-Antibody test to rule out dengue.
4. Complete hemogram with peripheral blood smear to know about status of infection.
5. Urine routine examination to rule out urinary tract infection.
Kindly take help from the Physician with the above test reports for proper advise and management.
