Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain That Radiates To The Foot

I have been having radiating pain from my right hip down to my foot for over a month. Don t really notice when active but comes on when at rest. Feels like bruised bone. Some nights worse than others. Have never had any issues therefore do not have a Dr. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain the goes from. buttock or back to the whole limb is most of the times because of treatment of a nerve in the spine. This is what we call sciatica.

Many times it resolves with physiotherapy and some painkiller. Rarely it may need surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
