Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It looks like my son has hives on his hands, fingers, elbows, and a small patch on his face. I gave him 25mg diphenhydramine last night and again this morning. We also iced the swollen hands. The hives do not look any better. When else can I do for him and when should I take him to the doctor?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the allergic condition then it can response to second generation anti-histamine and best medicine is Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day, some time may need steroid but it needs to be given under medical supervision and according to age, differential diagnosis is also matter of concern, and hope this information helps.
