Suggest Treatment For Hot Flashes And Headache After Weaning Off Estradiol

After 2 decades of taking HRT, primarily Estradiol, my primary physician weaned me off. After approx. two weeks of no Estradiol, hot flashes came back with a vengeance accompanied by a slight but noticeable headache. Over the last two days the flashes seem to be subsiding somewhat, but the headache persist. How long before the headache goes away? email address is YYYY@YYYY my name is Pat Kirkwood

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these hot flashes. Unfortunately, these are the realities of menopause and we cannot keep you all through on estradiol because of the risk of breast cancer. I will suggest you eat healthy, exercise often and stay active. This would soon get better and usually so within 4weeks after discontinuing medication.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for suing our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
