I am 42 years old male. I am suferring from mild right hydroureteronephrosis( impression in scan report) from 2 days back. vu junctions are free. Now i am having antibiotic and pain killer with cystone syrup which have been given by a doctor.(not a urologist).i am now experiencing interim pain. I am having more water and the urine is flowing normal. There was numerous rbc in my urine. I had the same problem 20 years back on left side. Pls advise me whether treatment is sufficient. If not pls advise.
1st of all I need to know cause of your hydronephrosis, whether it is due to stone or other infections. Usually mild hydronephrosis can be cured with drugs and doesn't need any surgical interventions at present. My advice is to consult a urologist, treat the cause hydronephrosis and get cured with drugs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Rishad T. K., Orthopedic Surgeon
