When I last waxed, the upper layer of my skin came off, resulting in bright red patches with burning sensation on my arms and my upper back/neck area. After 3 days, the burning sensation subsided, leaving scabs. The patches have dried up now but the skin is visibly darker in the injured areas due to hyperpigmentation. What can I do to speed up the clearing of this hyperpigmentation?
You have developed post inflammatory hyperigmentation due to use of wax which was hot. You can use Mometasone cream ( Momate crea ) twice daily for 2 weeks .
