Suggest Treatment For Hypertension, Chest Pain, Cough And Shortness Of Breath
Yes, have hypertention. I have been experiencing shortness of breath as well as feeling pain in my cheat. Mostly around my heart. More recently I have had an awful cough, now It is productive. Also it may be important to inform you of an incident with my heart about 3days before Christmas. That landed me in the hospital.
The cough may be due to minor respiratory tract infection. Consult a physician and start a short course of antibiotics.
A chest X-ray has to be taken as a preliminary investigation. If blood pressure is high, anti hypertensives like amlodipine may be started. In severe cases an echo test is required to rule out cardiac causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family physician
