Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I am a 32yr old female who is 3 months pregnant. I was subclinical hypothyroid after going through post partum thyroiditis 6yrs ago after my third child. Since then I experience palpitation. pvc's pac's... since being pregnant i had to start synthroid again and no the palpitaions have started again. my tsh is a 4 and ft4 .88... i exp. what feels like pvc's .. a pause them hard thump in the heart.. and it seems to happen always at rest... are these levels and palpitations a concern?....
Good day, Noted the question. TSH need to come down a bit more in pregnancy and i would advice to increase synthroid levels. It may be possible to control your PVCs and PACs by medications based on an ECG and Holter report. You will have to discuss with a cardiologist about it. At TSH of 4, i would expect a slower heart rate, however, you may experience palpitations even while having a slower heart rate. Extra tests like ECG/ECHO and Holter are necessary.
