Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

Yes,i am currently taking 40 mg lasex as needed for swelling in ankles and feet .I have been taking half pill pretty much daily and took whole one today .My job requires me be on my feet all day at least 8 hrs .Ive been taking it daily because the swelling is not going down much .Im also prescribed pottasium chloride 10 mg er .My legs are hurting ,i dont take the pottasium much at all ive took one in month .How do i know when i need it ? I know to much can be dangerous as to little .Im also having hard time getting enough fluids .I do have hypothyroidism and currently not on meds for it due to complications .

Hi,

You need to check your electrolyte levels checked routinely to decide and titrate your potassium supplementation.
A decreased and increased levels, both are bad and life-threatening. Being on diuretics, you are more prone to imbalances.

Get your FT3, FT4, TSH levels checked. The value of TSH will determine the strength of Thyroxine tablet required for you. One tablet needs to be ingested daily morning empty stomach. They are marketed in multiple strengths..12.5, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 micrograms and so on.
