Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

I am having hypothyroidism n have been advised thyronorm 25 mg.
My son suffers from hyperthyroidism and he also been given thyronorm 25 mg.
My question is how can it work in two different situations?
Please guide me as also put on weight due to this issue and now in my menustral stage

Thyronorm is the medication for hypothyroidism.

Please let me know your son's lab reports. Probably he might also be suffering from same hypothyroidism.

You might have heard it wrongly from the doctor or might have seen the wrong doctor !
