Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had horrible muscle cramps for over 50 years. I am now 69 years old. I ve seen neurologists, rheumatologists, and every other kind of dr. and all I end up with is idiopathic muscle cramps as a diagnosis. That isn t at all helpful. Can you suggest an out of the box trained physician for me to see?
You can use Pregabalin or Neuropentin to help cramping. Also antidepressants and anti-convulsants may help. You may need to consult a neurologist. Also, Botox may be considered.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
