Suggest Treatment For Ill-temper, Mood Swings, Domestic Violence And Excessive Alcohol Consumption

Hello sir, i m post intern Dr. My dad is having some prblm. He is govt officer. Bt he is so tensed as there is an inquiry on him about building permission. He is too much worried about his transfer too. He gets angry early nd sometimes jst seat alone silently. Stay moodless. Sad. Lack of interest. He prefer to stay alone. Do not involve in activities. Nd at ni8 he drinks whisky daily. Then he scolds us unnecessarily nd beats us also. Stick to one thing only. Repeats his question so many times. I asked him to go to psychiatrist bt he denied. Now what should i do.

Hello,

Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Drugs like benzodiazepines might be required in your case.

Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
