Hello,

Mental health is as important as physical health and it’s good that you are aware of it, that’s your first step towards recovery. I would like to tell you that, it takes time for diagnosis as the treatment for any mental illness is quite a long term so appropriate diagnosis is necessary.

If you are not satisfied with the doctors you have been visiting, there is always another option, you can look for the best psychiatrist around your area or in your city on the internet and visit him.

I can understand your situation but have patience and give it some time. With appropriate history and counseling sessions with your doctor over time will add benefits. It’s just not the doctors but you can also share your feelings with your loved ones as family’s support is another important factor that helps in cases of depression so open up about your feelings to your family and friends. Their support is very crucial. So spend more time with them.

Another thing I would like to advise you is, involve yourself in the activities you enjoy, like sports, music etc. Exercising, yoga and meditation on a daily basis are also beneficial. But most importantly, following your doctor’s advice is the first thing you should be doing. With time you will see the difference.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
