Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have impetigo which has returned from a few weeks ago in a different area, i have started to wash my body again with the wash that the doctor told me to use although i still have 4 days worth of my oral antibiotics left from the last time they were prescribed, i needed to have them for 1 week without stopping so i was wondering if i could take those left over 4 days and see if there is any improvement.
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.Siva and I am pleased to assist you. No, you should not take those left over antibiotics. You need to take a full course of antibiotics. Inadequate dosage can lead to antibiotic resistance. So take a full course of antibiotics.
I hope that answers your question.
