Suggest Treatment For Inability To Retract The Foreskin
Hello sir I am a 29 year old male. I got recently married and having a healthy sexual life. Two weeks back, I was not able to retract my foreskin. I tried it forcefully and it was very painful. White colour discharge was there under the fore skin. The condition did not resolve and I approached a general physician, who said that I am suffering with phimosis and he has given soframycin cream and phexin as medication. It s around three weeks now. If I wash my penis and slowly retract the skin back there are no issues but when it gets erect it s really painful. The foreskin is very dry and if I try to pull it back, inflammation occurs causing irritation and pain. Please help
Hello and welcome to HCM, definitive treatment for phimosis is surgical excision of the foreskin followed by repair. Tight foreskin causes accumulation of secretions within the foreskin and thus superimposed infection. The surgical procedure is safe and recovery is fast. The procedure does not interfere with sexual life in future.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
