Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i was diagnosed earlier this year with inclusion body myositis. I am a married, 76 year old female. I am a caregiver for my elderly husband who has cognitive impairment. I was told that there is NOTHING that can be done for IBM. No cure, no treatment, no breakthrough meds at this time. Is it really as bleak as all that? YYYY@YYYY
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, IBM is slowly progressive inflammatory disease of muscles caused by the gene defect, no treatment is available for this but some exercise programs are there that can improve the quality of life and for that you need to see the particular person or physical exercise department pain may not work here, hope this information helps.
