Suggest Treatment For Increased Heart Rate After Knee Surgery
Hi Doctor, I had knee surgery on my meniscus three years ago and now the knee is arthritic. I can t take cortisone because that raised my blood sugar A 1-C and my heart rate went through the roof. So this new treatment was advised by my doctor 3 injections one week apart this Hauloronic Acid. please advise Thanks
Increased heart rate has no concern with previous knee surgery when there is period of 3 years passed. There can be disorders of cardiac conduction pathway or else responsible for the heart rate alteration and the same has to be evaluated with an expert Cardiologist. So far as the pain in knee is concerned, current status of knee joint anatomy is must with an MRI of the knee joint.
Primary measures are: - Assisted physiotherapy - Supportive braces - Knee cap - Control of body weight, blood sugar - Avoidance of sitting crossed legs - NSAID - Intra articular injections are subjective to clinician decision as there are varying results depending upon the case
