General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Increased heart rate has no concern with previous knee surgery when there is period of 3 years passed. There can be disorders of cardiac conduction pathway or else responsible for the heart rate alteration and the same has to be evaluated with an expert Cardiologist. So far as the pain in knee is concerned, current status of knee joint anatomy is must with an MRI of the knee joint.

Primary measures are:
- Assisted physiotherapy
- Supportive braces
- Knee cap
- Control of body weight, blood sugar
- Avoidance of sitting crossed legs
- NSAID
- Intra articular injections are subjective to clinician decision as there are varying results depending upon the case

Knee replacement is last option for the final cure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
