Suggest Treatment For Infected Cyst In The Waist
I have an infected cyst in my upper waist area that my doctor drained some today and prescribed Minocycline. He plans to remove it in a couple of weeks. I m wondering is it necessary to take antibiotics before removing an infected cyst? It s a little bigger than a quarter. I ve had bad side effects before on antibiotics and would prefer a low side effect antibiotic. So, if an antibiotic is really is necessary what others would be more safe? I ve had two consultations with doctors about this cyst and the first doctor didn t prescribe an antibiotic and wants to remove it next week. Anyway, I like the doctor I saw today best and don t want to go against his orders, so I feel I m in quandary.

Before excision of infected cyst control of infection is a must.
If there is infection there might be having swelling and induration producing excision of cyst difficult to remove sac completely.
And if sac is not removed completely there are all chances of recurring.
So it is better to go for antibiotic medicine course.
