Suggest Treatment For Infected Tongue Piercing

Hello, I got my tongue piercing about 9 days ago, I was healing normally, but yesterday I put in a shorter jewelry that has been used previously (not by me). I let it soak in alcohol for a couple of minutes and then I boiled it in hot water, and today the bottom side of my tongue has been hurting since I woke up and I just noticed red sores right next to my piercing, what can it be?

Hello read through your query.Accordingly I feel that there is nothing to be worried in this case.Its just an inflammation due to the new thing attached to your body.You can take a diclofenac tab if its paining otherwise not required.Please follow proper oral hygiene habbits and also use chlorhexidine mouthrinse(reduces the chances of infection)and also do warm salt water gargle (it enhances the fast healing and also reduces chance of infection)If after few days fever or any systemic complaints arises meet an ent surgeon and start for an antibiotic course.As far as now you are perfectly fine its just an inflammation of the area(reaction of body towards new attachment).Be cool and stay happy.Happy and calm mind is medicine any diseases.Hope you are benwfitted something from this reply.Have a healthy day!!!!
