Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
conclusion of a regular medical check is that I need an echocardigraphic evaluation. examining physician says chest X-ray indicated moderate cardiomegaly. electrocardiogram indicated inferior wall ischemia. my blood pressure was 120/80. he thought this may be accounting for the moderate cardiomegaly and the inferior wall ischemia. i exercise regularly (walk 3 to 6 km three times a week; 1 hour gym 2 times a week). enjoy 3 glasses of beer after walking exercise; or red wine with food after gym. do not smoke. weighing 85 kg (recently reduced from 87kg; usually keep weight 82-85kg). 174 cm tall.
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that if your ECG is indicative of inferior wall MI or ischemia then either it can be new or old ischemic changes which need a proper evaluation with Echocardiography so that damage of heart muscle can be ruled out.
It's recommended for you to get an Echocardiography done and consult a cardiologist personally for proper management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap,
Cardiologist
