Suggest Treatment For Influenza And Chills
last week I received a flu shot which I receive every year without complications--I started having chills and sweating yesterday and also having uncontrollable jerky movements of my arms and face. I had a removal of a parathyroid 2 years ago due to high levels. could my electrolytes be my problem again?

Given your history, I suspect that your electrolytes could be the problem, rather than side effects from the shot, which you would have had sooner. You don't say why a parathyroid was removed, but the same condition could be occurring in one of the others (there are 4). Best you get into your doctor or urgent care and get some blood tests to find out for sure. Hope this helps.
