Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I twisted my ankle two weeks ago and it is painful to walk on extensively and almost always when I bend it a certain way. I haven t gone to a doctor but work an extremely physically demanding job. I have a few days off and would like to understand my injury and what I can do to help it.
The injured ankle that is painful specifically bending a certain way can be due to a muscle sprain or a fracture. This can be detected only after an X-ray. Do get it examined by an orthopediocian for proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
